(P82) A Rare example of the Azad Hind 3rd Class Breast Star. The star has been the subject of confusion for many years. It is my belief that this is a post 1945 issue manufactured by the firm of Souval after the end of the war, but this is a private view of mine and not shared by the majority of dealers and collectors, (if you are of this view, you will get a very good bargain as these are in the region of £1000.00 ). The badge has a nice gilt central disc on an 8 pointed radiated star with a nice gilt tiger's head to the centre. The reverse has a nice medal loop applied with a central disc affixed to the middle. The disc has no manufacturer's name as often is encountered on these awards. The star is slightly toned but still a superb example of a rare award. Priced as per my opinion, post 1945.
