Queen's South Africa Medal, bars,'Cape Colony','Orange Free State','Transvaal'; King's South Africa Medal; bars,'South Africa 1901','South Africa 1902' (JOHN NARAY - Born around 1877 at Dundee, Forfarshire, and attested at Perth in May 1898. Went to South Africa on 6 November 1899. Wounded by gun-shot to the right forearm at Wakkerstroom on 24 April 1900, which required hospital treatment for a period of five days. Remained with the Regiment in South Africa until March 1902. Served in India from March 1902 until February 1906, when the Regiment was returned to England. Discharged on 9 May 1914 on completion of sixteen years service.) : Sold with copy Service Papers which confirm medals and all bars; copy Casualty List; copy 'Gallant Deeds', Diary of The Royal Scots during the Boer War, which confirms the recipient as wounded in action. Name on medals is Narey but Regimental Number is as confirmed on all documents.: Very slight edge bruises to Queen's Medal, otherwise GVF - £345
