Bars 'Chilianwalla','Goojerat' - R.BRUNTON, 9th.Lancers: Correct style of impressed naming: (ROBERT BRUNTON - Born around 1824 in Marylebone, London, a piano maker by trade at the time of his enlistment into the 3rd.Light Dragoons in February 1842: Transferred into the 9th.Lancers in April 1842: Served with the Regiment in the Sutlej Campaign of 1845-6 and was present at the Battle of Sobraon: Served in the Punjab Campaign and was present at the Battles of Chilianwala and Goojerat. Served also in the Indian Mutiny of 1857-8 and was present at Delhi and the Relief of Lucknow.Tried by Court Martial on seven occasions and received various terms of imprisonment: Discharged December 1860 with character described as bad.)
